Where Dogs Come First!

About K-9 for Love
K-9 For Love Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-for profit dog rescue organization which was established in December of 2005.

It was formed by a group of individuals concerned for the growing number of dogs being abused, mistreated, abandoned, or killed.
The dogs we take in are strays, abused or abandoned, homeless, and/or dogs that were going to be euthanized. We also take in dogs from private owners who can no longer keep them for different reasons.

We mainly operate in the Redlands/Homestead area due to the extreme amount of abandoned dogs in this part of Miami-Dade County.
Any dog that comes into our organization receives veterinary care, spay-neuter services and whatever rehabilitation or socialization may be needed before heading for their new home. Foster care for a dog can range from a minimum of 2 weeks to many months, depending on the dog.

We are always in need of FOSTER and PERMANENT HOMES for our dogs. Please visit our Volunteer & Foster page for more information.
K-9 for Love is a 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue organization registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and proud Guidestar Participant

Millions of dogs and cats are abandoned to die on the streets or given up to shelters where millions are euthanized each year in the US. Every cat or dog that dies as a result of pet overpopulation is an animal who might have been a wonderful companion, if given the chance. The first step to the solution is spaying/neutering our pets.
For that reason, we spay and neuter all of our adoptable dogs and we are in constant need of funds to provide vet care to them.
