Who we are:
K-9 For love is a 501c3 non-profit dog rescue organization which was
established in December of 2005. It was formed by a group of individuals
concerned for the growing number of dogs being abused, mistreated,
abandoned, or killed. The dogs we take in are strays, abused or
abandoned, homeless, and/or dogs that were going to be euthanized. We
also take in dogs from private owners who can no longer keep them for
whatever reason.
Any dog that comes into our organization receives necessary veterinary
care, spay-neuter services and whatever rehabilitation may be needed
before heading for there new home. Foster care a dog can range from a
minimum of 2 weeks to many months, depending on the dog. W e are
strictly a foster care funded program. In other words, we do not have a
facility where we house the dogs due to our budget. WE ARE ALWAYS IN
NEED OF FOSTER PARENTS. We also make much effort to find the owners of
lost or stray dogs before we move forward with any adoption.
We NEVER re-home a dog until we feel that the dog is healthy and ready
to go. We also take extreme caution before placing our dogs, as we want
them to go into loving homes that they will be able to grow old in.
Our Mission:
To rescue, and supply homeless or unwanted dogs regardless of age or
breed, with love, shelter, food, medical attention, spay-neuter
services, and potential permanent with a secure loving environment.
